Unfortunately Janet Streicher passed away on November 16, 2020.
Janet Streicher was a global market and social research leader with demonstrated accomplishment in directing research teams and bold, innovative major initiatives to generate business growth. She was a thought leader with over 25 years of experience, strong client relationships, and had a track record of designing and consistently delivering both classical and cutting edge research taking brand, businesses and teams to the next level.
Janet most recently was the Survey Director for Baruch College Survey Research, where her research focused primarily on public opinion and public policy. Before this, Janet was the Director-SVP of Global Consumer Insights and Research Best Practices at Citi. She provided leadership and general management for the Global Consumer Group social research that included consumer and small business banking, wealth management, credit card, and online financial services research. Janet also led worldwide Market Intelligence organizations at Knowledge Networks (GfK), KPMG, LLP, and IBM. Her leadership included market research, public opinion polling, competitive analysis, digital research and methodological innovation, market opportunity assessment, and market forecasting solutions.
Janet was actively involved with key industry associations, including AAPOR and NYAAPOR, and WAPOR, for many years. She was the Membership and Chapter Relations chair and as well as Treasurer for AAPOR. Janet served twice as President of the NYAAPOR and was Councilor at Large for the Market Research Council (MRC) and NYAAPOR.
