Please join us for NYAAPOR’s first POQ Discussion Club + Happy Hour!

Building on the classic Book Club concept, this new program enables our members to get together in-person for some peer learning, networking, and NYAAPOR community building. We’ll spend an hour together discussing the findings and implications of a notable publication from Public Opinion Quarterly (POQ), and then head out for a drink and socializing at a nearby bar.

Our featured POQ article this quarter will be “Increasing the Acceptance of Smartphone-Based Data Collection” by Alexander Wenz and Florian Keusch (Public Opinion Quarterly, Volume 87, Issue 2, Summer 2023, Pages 357–388, https://doi.org/10.1093/poq/nfad019).

If you’re interested in motivating research participants to go beyond a survey and share their data (e.g., by downloading a research app), you won’t want to miss this discussion—or the drinks that follow - a Cash Bar event from 7pm - 8pm!
